BY-PASS FILTERS

Wix full-flow by-pass filters to fit most Cummins engines are designed to meet the extreme demands of heavy duty applications through the use of two sets of filter media — the main element continually filters the entire oil flow, while the by-pass element receives a certain percentage on a by-pass basis. The design uses a single, self-centering sealing grommet which provides a positive seal for oil flow between full-flow and by-pass filters.
