DYNAMOMETER SYSTEM

The DYNOmite onboard dynometer equips the driveline with a wireless transducer that allows on-the-road monitoring, recording and printing of true shaft torque and horsepower. Measurements flow directly from its output shaft-mounted strain gauge that reports the same readings as an engine dynometer cell without requiring engine removal. The system consists of a hand-held data computer, wireless interface module, transmission-mounted pickup coil, an appropriate style rotary strain transducer drive shaft yolk and a portable thermal printer. A sealed collar on the transducer houses surface-mounted electronics that require no battery or external connections. Standard or custom transducers are available for vehicles up to 5,000 horsepower and 10,000 rpm. Also, the DYNO-MAX software for Windows is available for PC and laptop specifications and features on-screen realtime graphic displays as well as analog and digital gauges.
