Grote Reefer Lamp Improved

Grote Industries has introduced a refrigerated trailer lighting system featuring a solid-state, rapid-start ballast. The 12-volt, DC-powered, high-frequency fluorescent lamp can start instantly under extreme temperatures, and its componentry is specifically suited for heavy duty use. It also includes a 24-watt, 1,800-lumen PLL fluorescent tube and a specular reflector, which accumulates and redirects light. The system can maintain maximum light output from -25° to 125° and can be left on continuously due to its low internal heat.
     The unit is constructed with a one-piece base assembly made from Nylon 6/6, a glass-reinforced material offering improved strength and sealing properties. The unit also incorporates a nonyellowing, removable, high-impact acrylic lens sealed to the lamp body with a PVC foam seal. Also, a specialized filtering network reduces electromagnetic and radio frequency interference; protects against reverse polarity and lamp short circuits; and is compatible with fluorescent bulbs with color temperatures ranging from 2,700° Kelvin to 4,100° Kelvin.
