Caterpillar Adds 3406E Rating

The Caterpillar Truck Engine Div., is releasing a 1998 engine rating: the 14.6-liter 500 hp 3406E with 1,650 lbs.-ft. of torque. The engine is available in horsepower ratings ranging from 355 to 500 hp, with multitorque ratings also available. The rating can offer high horsepower to fleets with potentially lower driveline cost, manufacturer says.
