Severe-Service Wheel
The new Alcoa Severe Service aluminum wheel is designed for truckers hauling loads in severe applications such as logging and mining.
Alcoa says its wheel boasts a maximum load rating up to 8,000 lbs., exceeding standard hub-piloted wheel load ratings by 700 lbs., and combines it with lean wheel weight of 55 lbs., saving 31 lbs. compared to a comparable steel wheel.
Specifications for the Alcoa Severe Service wheels include 10-hole hub piloted mounting with 285.75mm bolt circles. The wheels are available in two sizes: 22.5" x 8.25" and 24.5" x 8.25".
