Premium Engine Oil

In mid-December, ExxonMobil Commercial Lubricants announced its new premium engine oil which meets the just-released new API oil classification CI-4, which has been developed specifically for the new family of 2002 diesel engines.
The first of several new oils to be announced is Mobil Delvac 1300 Super which is an all-new lubricant using Mobil’s patented Trimer technology to give what Mobil’s Commercial Vehicle Lubricants’ Technical Advisor Michael Ragomo says will give superior oxidation control and excellent soot handling capabilities necessary for the new EGR engines.
Ragomo emphasized the new oil is compatible for all late-model diesel and gasoline engines so it can be used across the board in mixed vehicle fleets with all diesel and gasoline engine brands with superior lubrication.
A companion product which will meet the new CI-4 API classification will be introduced under the Exxon brand as XD3-Extra in late spring.
