ATA Seeks Road Team Nominations

The American Trucking Associations has opened the selection process for its 2003 America's Road Team.
The team consists of 12 professional truck drivers known as Road Team Captains. Each driver must have an accident-free driving record, a personal commitment to educating the public about highway safety, and a dedication to spreading the word about the positive aspects of the trucking industry.
Road Team Captains deliver the trucking industry message to driver education classes, schools, business groups, safety organizations, the news media, regulatory agencies, and the U.S. Congress. They also share their experience and expertise with their professional colleagues at motor carrier safety and driver training classes, numerous annual truck shows and trucking industry exhibitions.
Candidates must be nominated by ATA member motor carriers. They must be full-time drivers for their companies, or owner-operators leased to ATA members.
The nomination deadline is Jan. 17, 2003. Application forms are available from America's Road Team, 2200 Mill Road, Alexandria, VA 22314, via fax (703) 838-8468, or at www.truckline.com.
