Durable Removable Gooseneck

Witzco Challenger Trailers has introduced the RG-50 model for heavyweight construction and mining equipment. The removable gooseneck trailer is the company's largest-load-capacity standard model, featuring tapered front beam, two-angle scraper gooseneck and a self-contained hydraulic system. The RG-50's low deck height of 25 in. permits the trailer to accommodate low-profile paving, excavation and construction equipment.
The gooseneck trailer features three 25,000-lb. axles, with spring and equalizer ride suspension. Load space is adequate for carrying multiple pieces of equipment, says the company, with total capacity of 100,000 lbs. The RG-Series is designed with level deck, drop side and rail/beam loadwell styles. Options include air-ride suspension, non-ground-bearing gooseneck, gooseneck fenders and an array of application-specific custom configurations including extra deck and gooseneck length.

Upgraded Low Voltage Disconnect

The Intra low-voltage disconnect has been upgraded to make it easier for drivers to manage battery power consumption while a truck is parked. There is now available a timing feature that warns the driver with a series of audible alarms before electrical power is shut off.
Like the standard LVD, the new version is designed to preserve battery power needed to start the engine by monitoring battery levels during key-off periods, shutting down to preserve a start.
The driver-friendly version allows the driver more discretion over which power loads get turned off. As loads are shut down, the system automatically resets itself and the tones shut off.
