Sterling Truck Announces Product Enhancements

      Sterling Truck Corp. announced several product enhancements to its line of A-Line work trucks, including new aerodynamic mirrors and a Visteon Scroll Compressor.
      Offering enhanced safety and comfort, the Sterling A-Line updates include:
      • Aerodynamic mirrors: Sterling's new design provides increased fuel efficiency by reducing wind drag. In addition, new mirrors feature smaller heads to offer improved side and forward visibility and aluminum extrusion brackets resulting in a small weight saving on each truck.
      • Bostrom seats: The new Bostrom "Freedom" seat comes standard with a longer headrest, wider suspension, increased lumbar support, convenient adjustment features and newly designed foam density and contours. Optional features include front seat cushion adjustment, low-profile suspension, heavy-duty shock absorbers, swivel and heater.
      • Visteon scroll compressor: The scroll-type compressor used for many years in luxury and high-end automotive applications has been upgraded for heavy-duty trucking use. Utilizing fewer moving parts and having virtually no wear points compared to typical piston-type compressors, the new technology offers greater durability and is backed by a two-year warranty.
      • Relocated wiring: Sterling has relocated all chassis wiring to the bottom flange of the frame rail for easier body mounting.
      All Sterling A-Line vehicles come standard with Goodyear tires. Michelin and Bridgestone tires are also available as options.
