Hendrickson Adds Feature
If you run a rear-discharge tanker, there's a good chance you use a raised-center axle. Hendrickson has extended the benefits of its Intraax integrated trailer suspension system to this type of axle with the introduction of its Raised Center Intraax.
The suspension weighs about 100 pounds less than previous models yet has stronger axle connections and a generally more durable package overall, the company says. Hendrickson will offer 23,000- and 25,000-pound capacity models for 77.5- and 71.5-inch tracks in top-mount configurations and a range of ride heights from 13.5 to 19 inches. Options include automatic tire inflation, long-life wheel end packages, and several braking systems.
Kenworth Expands Maintenance System
Kenworth Truck Co. is offering new versions of its barcode technology-based parts inventory and maintenance management systems. The two new versions are dubbed PremiereCare Connect Professional (PCCP) and Connect Enterprise (CE), respectively.
The new Connect Professional is ideal for the smaller maintenance operation that operates within a more limited budget. The CE includes all of the same features plus advanced functions such as multi-currency, support for multiple businesses and integration with other software. The system enables customers to track parts and technician's time span per work order by using a barcode scanner connected to a workstation.
