LaneScan Introduces Smart Mirrors For Accident Prevention
LaneScan has introduced an intelligent mirror system that helps eliminate blind spots for large trucks.
At the push of a button, LaneScan's patented Go Zone mirror technology provides drivers much greater visibility into multiple lanes of traffic, giving them real-time sight of people, cars and hazards before they perform routine but difficult maneuvers.
Go Zone works with all types of trucks and can be easily retrofitted with most power mirrors.
LaneScan's Auto View is designed specifically for semi trucks. It includes all of Go Zone's features but automatically adjusts the right mirror to maintain visibility of the right rear corner of the trailer. This enhanced visibility is especially valuable during right turns and blind side backing maneuvers.

Cole Hersee Offers Ignition Switches For Heavy Truck Applications
Cole Hersee Co. is marketing a complete line of durable ignition switches with operating features and options for every truck application.
Cole Hersee's ignition switches are available in two-position, three-position, and four-position models, along with optional coded locks, patented Hencol locks and levers.
Switches are available with diecast or brass cases to protect against wear, corrosion and contaminants. Mounting stems vary according to the type of switch required for the vehicle, as do the number of terminals.
For trucks operating in especially rugged or heavy-duty conditions, Cole Hersee offers protective plastic covers attached to the ignition switch that snap over the ignition slot.
In addition to standard ignition switches, Cole Hersee offers its 956 Series of Anti-Restart Ignition Switches. The switches protect starter motors from restart damage by preventing the operator from restarting a running engine. Also, Cole Hersee ignition switch keys fit into the company's line of key covers. Constructed from rugged plastic, the key covers make keys more recognizable by color-coding them according to the operator's needs.
Dometic Supplies Auxiliary HVAC Systems
Dometic Corp. announced it is supplying auxiliary HVAC systems to Mechron Power Systems, which is integrating them into an auxiliary air conditioning and power generator system. The products are being marketed by Mechron under the CCS Lightning brand name.
The Mechron CCS Lightning is designed to provide year-round cooling and heating for the truck's sleeper without idling the main engine.
The Dometic split-gas air conditioning systems are offered in 10,000 and 14,000 BTU capacities.
The condensing unit mounts outside the sleeper, while the cooling/heating unit fits inside the compartment, usually under a bunk or table. The two components are connected by refrigerant lines, which are precharged at the factory for easy installation without special tools.
Hendrickson Launches HTB Rear Air Suspension
Truck manufacturer International Truck and Engine Corp. and suspension manufacturer Hendrickson have announced the launch of the HTB rear air suspension on International's 9000 Series trucks.
HTB is a lightweight, non-torque reactive suspension offering the additional advantages of smooth ride and low maintenance. The HTB rear air suspension is the lightest suspension in its class. At 570 pounds including axle brackets, HTB saves up to 250 pounds of weight over industry-standard 40,000-pound capacity suspensions.
Fleets in weight-sensitive applications such as tankers, bulk haulers and refrigerated carriers - where a pound saved is an additional pound of payload hauled - derive great benefit from HTB. The weight savings is attributed to HTB's optimized design featuring a parallelogram geometry that eliminates leaf springs and reduces components.

Bosch Introduces FlexiDome With NightSense Mode
Bosch Security Systems now offers NightSense on its FlexiDome line of fixed dome cameras, extending the camera's sensitivity threefold in monochrome operation.
The NightSense mode is automatically activated under low-light conditions and helps provide round-the-clock surveillance by delivering optimum image quality at very low light levels. When light begins to fade, the camera automatically switches from color to monochrome to maintain high picture and clarity.
Flexidome cameras are set in cast aluminum housings for durability. They are sealed for outdoor use and protection against water and dust to IP66 standards.
The cameras are available in high resolution monochrome and color models with auto-iris varifocal lens options, line lock with phase adjustment and backlight compensation. They come assembled and ready to use. The small design enables the cameras to blend discreetly into most decors. An optional conduit-compatible hard surface mount is available.
Donaldson Filters Now Being Sold Through Amsoil Dealers
Amsoil Inc. of Superior, Wis., announced that it has made available to its dealer network Donaldson Co. Inc.'s full line of aftermarket heavy duty air, oil, coolant, fuel and hydraulic filters. The technologies from Donaldson filters include such products as Endurance, PowerCore, Duramax, Synteq and Ultra-Web. Donaldson filters are used in the over-the-road classifications up to and exceeding 33,000 GVW, off-road equipment such as construction and agriculture, plus industrial applications.
Donaldson filters are available through all Amsoil distribution channels, which include over 80,000 dealers worldwide.

Wagner Brake Products has introduced a complete line of premium disc brake pads and shoes for fleet, school bus, emergency vehicle, utility and other severe-use applications manufactured and marketed by Federal-Mogul Corp.
SevereDuty disc brake pads carbon-based metallic formulations are ideally suited to vehicles with severe-duty braking cycles. They also include a variety of design features engineered to ensure performance and reliability.
Each pad uses the integrally molded friction technology with a reinforced friction bond designed for increased strength and long-life. The pads are also post cured, which allows for faster break-in, and feature OE-matched shims, slots, chamfers and wear sensors.
Engineers have developed a black powder coat finish to enhance pad appearance and ensure long-lasting corrosion protection.
SevereDuty Brake shoes feature the OE approved asbestos-free formulations, for excellent stopping power and fade resistance. The shoe utilizes new steel for longer life and enhanced performance.
