Dodge Trucks
All Dodge Ram pickups get new styling with cross-hair grilles and can be ordered with the new MegaCab (see main article). Ram 3500 has a box-off option that gets it delivered as a cab-chassis for installation of a specialty body. The 3500 has GVW ratings of 9,900 to 12,200 pounds and combination weight ratings of up to 23,000 pounds. Standard 5.7-liter (343-cubic inch) Hemi gasoline V-8 has 330 hp and 375 lbs.-ft., and is now standard with a Multi-Displacement System that lets the engine run as a V-4 during light loads, saving up to 20 percent in fuel. It comes with a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic. The 5.9-liter (359-cubic-inch) Cummins Turbodiesel makes up to 325 hp and 610 lbs.-ft., and can be mated to a six-speed manual or four-speed automatic. Dodge also has the German-made Sprinter in several van types and a cab-chassis version in the 3500 (see story on page 112).
